Mother Agnes continues her investigations into the fake viseos. Full text at link.

A new version of a study produced by Mother Agnes, a catholic nun, pointing to a number of fabricated videos used as evidence of complicity by the Assad government in a recent chemical attack is in the works, she told RT. The report by the Christian nun, Mother Agnes Mariam el-Salib, mother superior of St. James Monastery in Qara, Syria, has alleged that many videos featuring supposed victims of the chemical weapons attack in the Syrian village of Guta in August were in fact staged and scripted. The question for the nun now revolves around the “humanitarian” question of what happened to the children featured in the video. “Those children are the children of whom? From where did you get them? Why are you using them and manipulating them?” read full story / add a comment

Thought-provoking American lawyer Ellen Brown, author of 12 books, two of them bestsellers on finance, will headline a day-long forum on economic options for Ireland with a presentation at the Springfield Hotel in Leixlip, Co. Kildare on October 12.

The program for the day includes presentations from Jamie Dowling, originator of an internet-based concept called Eirebank, Anthony Migchels, the Dutch promoter of a new interest-free currency, James Devaney, of Leixlip, who will speak on current attempts by government to amalgamate Irish credit unions, and Claire Cullinane, the Cork organizer responsible for helping people facing eviction from their homes.

The Forum will be followed by two additional appearances in Ireland by Brown, author of Web of Debt and The Public Bank Solution. She will speak at the Imperial Hotel, Cork on Oct. 14 (see: here) and again at the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on Oct. 15. (see: here) read full story / add a comment

Cuba Support Group Ireland is pleased to announce the dates and venues of a nationwide speaking tour by Canadian academic and author, Keith Bolender, a world expert on the blockade of Cuba.

His talk will be based on his latest book, Cuba Under Siege: American Policy, the Revolution and Its People.

In it, Bolender explores how Cuban society has been affected by 50 years of ‘non stop hostility from the world’s most powerful nation’. He offers extensive historical analysis, firsthand interviews and expert comment.

Most significantly, perhaps, Bolender puts the blockade of Cuba into the historical military context of the tactic of siege and analyses the psychological impacts of this on the besieged population, with some remarkable insights from historical parallels. Through this contextualisation, the potential of American policy to deliver its stated intentions is evaluated with uncomfortable conclusions for policy makers. read full story / add a comment

Submission to the White Paper on Defence Government should be tried under Nuremberg Charter.

We are a collective of women; some of us very elderly. Some of us directly experienced wars; some of us have spent time in jail opposing war; the build up to war. We have buried our dead because of war. We have looked after and cared for those physically and psychologically damaged by war. We have experienced domestic violence by men, who have been traumatized by their time in war. We have suffered through the growth of the armed industry and the cost of filling the coffers or the armament industry merchants; the rough the devastation of the social services of our country. This is not only in our Country; this is worldwide read full story / add a comment

Despite official enquiries into the Dublin/Monaghan Bombings, no satisfactory answers have ever been found as to who carried them out. Even though these Bombings caused the biggest loss of life of a single operation of the whole Troubles, garda investigations were wound up after three months—with no proper explanation of what had happened; no prosecutions were ever brought. read full story / add a comment

Joan burton minister for social protection has set up what has been called a new carrot and stick approach to the unemployed masses of ireland.

The carrot is not suffficient ,and either is the stick for that matter, the carrot being jobbridge, and the stick being that social welfare can withhold your welfare for up to 63 days, and having the powers to reduce your social welfare payment..As far as i can see there is no new thinking on how to approach those who have lost their jobs,or are not adequately qualified or experienced to take up jobs..
Jobridge has been uncovered as a scam,to bolster up employers staff without expense, and can re-hire more job bridge workers as they please.Where is the incentive to employ people, take on paid work when job bridge is in the way of that. What employer is going to pay people to work when job bridge is for free?
It is clear the government have not thought this through properly for whatever reason.

Below is an article on this issue by Tom Boland.
