The new Olivia Coleman film Wicked Little Letters pushes the tired genre of cosy English fiction, in which the loony locals need to be saved by a Theresa May-style manager, over the edge of absurdity, says J Sorel.

Just as critical social justice ideology finally seems to be going out of fashion, the Church of England has decided to double down on woke claptrap and embark on an orgy of racial self-flagellation. That'll fill the pews!

category national | anti-war / imperialism | news report author Thursday February 08, 2024 22:18author by ipsc Report this post to the editors

Sat, 17 February 2024, 13:00 Assemble @ Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square, Dublin 1

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, supported by scores of other Irish civil society groups, has called another National Demonstration for Palestine on Saturday 17th February, starting at the Garden of Remembrance at 1pm and going to the Department of Foreign Affairs on St. Stephen’s Green to bring our demands to the Irish government’s doorstep.

END GAZA GENOCIDE!
END ISRAELI APARTHEID!
SANCTIONS NOW!
FREEDOM AND JUSTICE FOR PALESTINE!

This march – endorsed by scores of Irish civil society organisations – has been called as part of the Global Day of Action for Gaza. Last month we made history with one of the largest demonstrations in Irish history, bringing 100,000 people onto the streets for Palestine. Let’s make this one EVEN BIGGER!

Bring friends and family! Bring noise and hope! Let’s make our voices heard and our demands unignorable!
