luke McGuire (26), had been following a vegan diet developed by US alternative medicine advocate Robert Young and was taking salt supplements -- labelled 'Young Phorever pHour Salts' and 'Young Phorever PuripHy' . He died after suffering a sudden collapse in Ranelagh, Dublin, on June 2, 2011. Dublin City coroner , Dr Brian Farrell , returned a verdict of “death by misadventure” on Mr McGuire .Sadly, Dr Farrell didn’t take the opportunity to issue any sort of statement about the dangers of buying these so-called supplements over the internet . read full story / add a comment

People who have asked me about Neo-Luddism often assume that I am completely anti technology, but that is not the case. The Irish Department of Health says it hopes to bring legislative proposals this year or early next year to enable cannabis-based medicine to be prescribed in the Irish free state. They should hurry up and save al lot of people an awful lot of pain. Experts have advised that Sativex contains a cannabis extract which “is a valid treatment option”. It took them awhile didn't it. like hundred years late maybe. "Sativex is used for the relief of symptoms of multiple sclerosis patients and other ailments. Today sees the release of the People's Association Watchdog's Submission on Fracking to the government, some of the noted points of concern include the use of TOXIC Chemicals used in the process and the important questions of water pollution, air pollution waterway contamination are also highlighted. One of the main concerns raised in the document is the likely constitutional offences that fracking may endorse.
