They did so under a political banner, and received a lot of criticism for the policies of that banner afterwards in this forum. an important root of Reclaim the Streets! was free parties. These phenomona helped bring together oung people regardless of class background in a communal social / tribal activity. They found themselves subject to criminalisation issues and health issues. Today is the muslim holiday of Al-Isrá´wa-l-mi-´ray. [standard approximation of classical arabic] This holiday celebrates the Ascension of the Prophet (PBUH) from the rock of the dome in Jerusalem. (PBUH is a muslim protocol meaning peace be upon him similar to catholic "his holiness" etc.) Whether or not you like muslim ethno-cultural belief systems, you don´t have to that clever to know this is a highly sensitive day for World Islam. read full story / add a comment |
