Four years into the war on Iraq it seems more serious nonviolent resistance is coming from within the military, from veterans of the war and the families of the military war dead than any civilian anti-war movement in the western world. Lt Ehren Watada refused deployment to Iraq declaring the war illegal. His court martial earleir this year collapsed over a legal technicality. His second trial is due to start early October. White Water Shopping Centre is at the centre of an ongoing drama in Newbridge, County Kildare. The developer's, Ballymore Properties, have reneged on their promise to build a 6-screen cinema as part of the massive White Water Shopping Centre. On the Thirty First of July Florian L, Axel H and Oliver R were arrested and detained for the alleged attemmp to set fire to police vehicles in Brandenburg,They have been detained since that date. Forest foliage is a growing business in Ireland. While it is still predominantly a Christmas time business, year-round uses are rapidly growing, particularly in the floral trade. Around the world, stems from trees and understorey plant species are profitably harvested from forests for such applications. While forest foliage has been traditionally used as a filler in bouquets and arrangements it is now growing in use in its own right, allied to the trend for all things natural.
