In March Ashanti Alston, a former member of the Black Panther Party and a Black Liberation Army solider, came to Ireland to speak at the Dublin anarchist bookfair. This is the video of his presentation. In it he talks about his experiences in the Black Panthers and BLA, the lessons he draws from them and what he thinks of revolutionary politics in Ireland.

This video is a brief history of anarchism during that decade and why there was a massive growth in terms of percentages if rather modest in terms of actual numbers. A mother who has been put through hell both here in Ireland and in Nigeria - doesn't it show what little difference there is with regard to basic human decency between the Irish and Nigerian authorities, the same persecution of the defenceless - such indifference, such arrogance, such fear, such selfishness, such inhumanity towards a mother and her two young children who just want a basic freedom to live in peace. read full story / add a comment
