It has. And this link to a story in today's Guardian shows it: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/apr/15/g20-protest-po...logue Corporate media a few years ago had very little or no interest in the predictable response from the state to protesters who questioned the nature of the system and questioned capitalism. At this link the Guardian has a pile of videos showing police brutality against London 2009 G20 protesters. It’s fairly tame stuff for anyone who has been with a few metres of the riot squad really going for it, but none the less it is shocking stuff for most Guardian readers: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/apr/15/g20-protest-po...logue read full story / add a comment

Barry McColgan National Organiser Ógra Shinn Féin The refusal by the Equality Commission to grant the Easter Lily the proper recognition ensuring that it can be worn without discrimination in the workplace, at school and college is an outrage, and has caused major upset, hurt and anger to many Irish Republicans. The Easter Lily which is worn by Irish Republicans throughout the Easter period is a symbol of remembrance for Ireland’s patriot dead and all Easter Lily collections are used for the upkeep and maintenance of Republican graves and monuments. Is the Equality Commission by their refusal to grant equal status to the Easter Lily insinuating that Ireland’s patriot dead are less important, and do not deserve to be remembered publicly? read full story / add a comment ![]()

The Lisbon Treaty was rejected by Irish voters last year, amidst the backdrop of an inept Government, a No campaign run by vested interests and a general level of ignorance as regards content of the Treaty. These are the reasons why we should vote Yes, why we shouldn't trust No campaigners and how the Lisbon Treaty is our ticket to a more transparent and democratic Europe, with Ireland at the centre of a stronger EU. read full story / add a comment
