Having been contacted by concerned individuals, many working in the airport. The wall mounted fish tanks on the ‘Street’ at Dublin Airport were again brought to our attention. In 2006 AFAR did a demo at Dublin Airport and as a result had SEAHORSES removed from the ESTEE LAUDER Crème de la Mer tanks after hearing many Seahorses had died due to lack of feeding and regular care. Now in 2009 the fish that had replaced the seahorses were suffering the same fate. read full story / add a comment

The Minister for the Environment, John Gormley, is currently conducting two separate public consultations, allegedly to protect Tara. There is the proposed Tara Skryne Landscape Conservation Area and the proposed Tara UNESCO World Heritage Site. But the Minister has not produced one single map showing the proposed areas, and has refused to answer Parliamentary Questions on the issue. read full story / add a comment

Hands off the People of Iran will be taking part in the Global Day of Action on Iran to be held on Saturday 25th July. However HOPI is against any intervention by the United States or other governments.
