Certain criticisms of Michelle Obama have been doing the rounds of MSM because she did not allow a grappler within arm's length. Q: Should she hide her distaste and allow a known grappler and sexist give her a hug? A: Why did the Telegraph even ask that stupid question? Back to time honoured sexism , where a Premier who is immune from prosecution, has a mountain of sleaze behind him and caused an odd reaction in the wife of the US prez gets defended in the Media because Mrs Obama did not *want* to hug him. It is of course all her fault and nothing to do with the manner in which he greeted her. In the first week of its release, “The Lost Revolution” shot straight into the top 5 non-fiction titles in Ireland. This in itself showed the enduring interest in the Official Republicans/The Workers’ Party. This interest was brought home to me again at the launch of the book, held in the Teachers club on September 12, which attracted an audience of around 300, including current and past members of the Official movement, as well as dozens of interested individuals from across the broad range of Republican and left groups in Ireland. read full story / add a comment

This weekend, Shannon airport was almost deserted of civilian air traffic. However, its transformation into a WARPORT is no longer just a slogan, it comes close to reality. On Saturday the usual OMNI Air US troop-carrying planes were joined by a Hercules C130 probably transporting munitions to the US wars on Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iraq. An oil-tanker was docked at the Shannon airport Jetty delivering aviation fuel to fuel the aircraft including the warplanes. On Sunday Top-Oil oil company was refuelling another Hercules C130 in the centre of the airport. An Irish Army patrol performed security duties, instead of arresting the potential war criminals. read full story / add a comment
