FEE (Free Education for Everyone) activists in Ireland involved in an occupation of Paul Gogarty TD's offices (Green Party Education Spokesperson) in December 2008 have now been threatened almost a year later with "adult cautions" by the Gardai. It would be great That, When Whole Workplaces Come Out on the Day Of Action on November 6th, if they March En Masse from their Workplace to the Protest venues. This has happened before on the PAYE Tax Marches for example. Of course, I'm not suggesting that those working far out in the suburbs such as Coolock or Tallaght, or those working outside the Provincial Centres March into town. They should charter buses and car pool, as it Seems Very Likely that Public Transport Will Stop At Least for Several Hours on November 6th. read full story / add a comment

The Western Writers' Centre, Galway (Ionad Scribhneoiri Chaitlín Maude) have been gifted no fewer than 400 copies of books by eminent European authors, complete with display furniture and are the legal, documented owners of this immense and valuable library.
