The Strange Death of Knowing Stuff Wed Dec 24, 2025 19:00 | Dave Summers
In his Sixth Form Christmas quiz this year, none of Dave Summers's students could name the author of To Kill a Mockingbird ? previously one of the easy questions. Another sign that wokery is dissolving our culture.

Will Labour Ban Christmas Carols Next? Wed Dec 24, 2025 17:00 | Julian Mann
If Christmas songs fall foul of Labour's 'banter ban', Christmas carols ? with their 'offensive' assertions of the divinity of Christ that are deemed blasphemous by Islam ? are even more likely to, says Julian Mann.

Ploughshares activists Chris Cole, Sr. Susan Clarkson from St. Francis House/ Oxford Catholic Worker and Fr. Martin Newell from Giuseppe Conlon House/ London Catholic Worker are presently in Newbury Court for a plea hearing. They are charged under SOCPA legislation with "criminal damage" and "criminal trespass".
Charges arise out of their Sept '09 actions at Alderemaston (nuclear) Weapons Establishment (AWE).
Latest report states that today's proceedings have been held up due to Ministry of Defense forgetting to bring papers to court. MOD have gone to fetch them. So it's "hurry up and wait" down at the old Newbury court house presently.
DMCWers Ed Bloomer and Frank Cordaro were arrested and charged with
disorderly conduct after disrupting a KC MO City Council meeting on
the afternoon of Thursday Oct 7th. After spending 22 hours in the KC
police 'bull pin" with 50 other 'guest', with nothing but a cement
floor to sleep on, three meals of baloney sandwiches, no medical
personal on site and no meds, Bloomer and Cordaro joined 66 others (16
women added to the group) for Jail Court at 9 a.m. Friday Oct 8th. The
two DMCWers plead guilty to a close circuit TV Judge, in the room next
to the holding cell where they spent their night. With help from our
attorney Henry Stoever, the TV Judge gave us time served and we were
finally set free at 3:30 p.m. Below is NCR Joshua McElwee's account of
the confusing events that took place Thursday Sept 8. Further down is
a summery of the different sentencing outcomes for all 14 defendants.

New Honeywell Nuclear Weapons Plant (Up to Date, 9-9-2010) Recently,
politicians, workers and others attended a groundbreaking ceremony at
Honeywell's new nuclear weapons plant that will replace the current
one at the Bannister Federal Complex.
There's no doubt that the plant has an economic impact on Kansas City.
About 2,600 employees will work at the $687 plant, but what does the
new plant bring to Kansas City that the old plant didn't, and more
importantly, why are we still building nuclear weapons in a day and
age when countries are trimming - not expanding - their nuclear
arsenals?
Steve Kraske talked with Jay Coghlan, executive director of Nuclear
Watch New Mexico and others about the plant, how its non-nuclear
components manufacturing line interfaces with the nuclear parts plants
in other regions of the country, what the plant means to Kansas City's
economy, and why so many people favor construction of the plant.
