![]() Seven Years of Occupation and Suffering in Iraq ... Seven Years of Daily War Support at Shannon Airport. The US-led invasion of Iraq on 19th March 2003 (based on lies about disarming the country of alleged weapons of mass destruction and links with al-Qaeda) has had serious long-term repercussions for the country and its people. There have been over 100,000 civilian deaths as a result of the ongoing war. Approximately 15% of the population are still displaced from their homes inside and outside the country. Public health, electricity, sanitation and water services are inadequate. The country is now deeply divided. |
