VETERAN REPUBLICAN TO BE REMEMBERED AT DERRY EVENT

The annual Seán Keenan Commemoration will take place in Derry City on Sunday, 7th March. This event is organised by his comrades in Republican Sinn Féin, of which the veteran Derry Republican was an Honorary Vice-President for Life until his death in 1993. It takes place at 3p.m. at the Celtic Cross monument on Fahan Street in Derry City.

Republican Sinn Féin Ard-Chomhairle (National Executive) member Cait Trainor from County Armagh will deliver the main oration.

Seán Keenan was interned three times, spending a total of 15 years incarcerated without ever having been brought before a British court.
