The Public Health Service Campaign orgainsed a well attended march last Saturday of at least 1500 participants from all over the country. There were contingents from Sligo who were the last to leave at the rally at Merrion Square, Kerry, and Monaghon to mention a few. Activists came out from the campaigns to keep Crumlin's Children's Hospital and St Lukes. Many speakers highlighted the governments willingness to find money to bail out the greed of the nbanking sector to to abandon the sick and those in most need of support in our society.

The Public Health Service Campaign is an alliance of the Dublin Council of Trade Unions, the Youth Committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and Patients Together. The Campaign is Supported by the Health trade unions & a wide range of patients', hospital & medical campaigners. It organised the large march for a decent public Health Service in Dublin on March 29th 2008. We campaign for a first class Public Health Service and against cutbacks in Health spending and the privatisation of the Public Health Service. The Campaign has eight agreed aims. Contact us at healthcampaign@gmail.com ; at 087 4116357 or by post at Mandela House, 44, Lower Gardiner Street, Dublin 1.
