news report
Thursday December 13, 2007 16:13 by sister licentia - the sisters of perpetual indulgence
last week saw three members of controversial order, the sisters of perpetual indulgence, making a very public show of support for the shell 2 sea campaign the three sisters, sr. fellatia, sr. licentia, and sr. methamphetamine, hosted the xmas cabaret fundraiser which raised close to €800 for the cork shell to sea campaign. although the evening was somewhat marred by the appearance of shell personnel who announced their new partnership with beamish and attempted to convince patrons to allow intravenous delivery of stout into their bodies (thus eliminating middlemen publicans and increasing efficiency), on the whole it was a highly entertaining evening. favourite cork musicians (including hank wedel, mary green and yossi valdman) supplied the gathering with music, while snatch comedy improv and other comedic performers tom campbell and minister maverick of the church of the clown kept the audience smiling and laughing. |
