China's claim to 'climate leadership' is a geopolitical manoeuvre to counter Trump's narrative, not a pledge of emissions cuts, says Dr Tilak Doshi. Expecting China to join the West's economic self-sabotage is delusional.

My question to the press office yesterday "Who runs the country" their answer the people and then the government. If this was the case would this be happening.
These snippets show the attidude of shell/statoil /roadbridge workers in Rossport village.

I hope Mary is ok. I don't think I met her but Willie is a great guy. If anything I think he was being over polite to his neighbours in the speech he gave during the gathering.
Surely there are only negative results possible from Shell being allowed to carry on with this?
Good luck everybody in Erris. It really is a beautiful place up there and SHELL cannot be allowed to desecrate it .
At some point somebody has to draw a line and say no further, otherwise they'll just keep pushing to see how cynical its possible to be.

More photos from today's encroachment by Shell. They were peacefully refused entry to private lands repeatedly along the proposed high pressure pipeline route. Local Gardai observed the actions, and proceeded to question local residents and observers, at the request of Shell engineer Paul Gallagher. He (Gallagher) refused to identify Shell's ground operatives, while landowners and residents politely aceeded to Garda queries.
