You'd be as well off to remove stun gun and replica fire arm from the above posting if you dont want some biased tabloid coverage or an over the top garda response to be later justified by re-interpreting this press release, if you know the law replica firearms can still get you in a lot of trouble. I suggest that the less realistic and brightly coloured you faux weapon is the less likely some garda can stand up in court and say 'sure i thought it was real, thats why i shot him'. Always remember who the potential audience of a press release is not just the intended audience. Other than that see you there

I think the in the context it was probably intentioned humourously - I mean I'm sure if they had a few molecular disrupters.......................

plus at this stage some tabloid hype migt do no harm!

Contact your local Jury's today!
For those who can't make the Less Lethal Weapons Conference demonstration, voice your opposition and disgust via email/tel/ and fax, or walk into your local Jury's and tell them personally. Leaflets to flier are also available from Dublin Grassroots - their email's some where on this site I think. Was also thinking of sending emails to the policemen going to this event...., maybe if someone else can post these emails up twould be good.
Their booking emails are all centralised, so either go to their website, or try one of these.....or call and ask for their email as "your booking is long and complicated"....!(I just called Lmk. Jurys Inn and got email from an employee - kevin_cassidy@jurysdoyle.com) If you know the names of any managers...I figure they'll use the same format on all their emails! GO FOR IT LADS AND LASSIES!

Tabloid scare overload is counterproductive and works as an amplifier for protests.

Hey DGN, if you're going to use fake names in your press releases, then it would help if you kept using the same ones. I see that "Rosie" has dropped the "O" from her surname.
