Jump To Comment: 2 1Well well, I never, following the disgraceful statements of Dave Begg in recent weeks it's nice to see Jack O'Connor coming out on the side of the working class (having being forced). His final comment that (and i'll paraphrase), that we must fight throughout the country...WELL WE HAVE BEEN! Our problem was (and is) that the unions 'SOLD' yes sold local authority jobs (and I can speak for the Drogheda ones) for what was in effect pocket money. The local SIPTU and ATGWU (drogheda branches) did not object, fight, and/or even side with the Citizens of this town on the provision of 'OUR' Essential Services. Our campaign continues (without ANY) union support whatsoever and we will get our day in the High Court soon and highlight all the facts of this sellout along with a number of other realities.
