Church leaders are too quick to condemn Tommy Robinson and the Unite the Kingdom march, says Chris Larkin. We don't know what Jesus would have made of our politics, but we can?t just assume he?d have been a Lib Dem voter.

CORK ANTI WAR CAMPAIGN
_______________________

Dear all,

The Cork Anti War Campaign bus to the Dublin demo, this Saturday, has regretfully been cancelled due to a lack of interest. Only a handful of people were confirmed and so we can not take the finacial risk to run a bus.

We would ask everyone to pass on the message to others who may not be on this list. We would also ask people who are driving to stop by the Opera House at 9:30 to see if peole can be transported that way. Apologies to those planning to use the bus.

The campaign will now meet on a monthly basis. The location of the next meeting will be notified to all before it happens. If you would like to contact us please do so at our main e-mail address: corkantiwar@hotmail.com

For the last couple of weeks I have been getting more and more nervous about this march on Saturday.

Foolishly (Why break his lifetime habit) in my opinion Boyd Barrett was running around saying he would be happy with five or six thousand a couple of weeks ago. At the time I thought that was ambitious.

Since then I've been getting more worried about it. The amount of posters, emails etc. that should be going round clearly aren't and most activists seem to be more concerned with the Bin Charges than with the march on the 27th.

If Ireland's third biggest city can't get a bus together, it bodes very badly for other cities and towns. We've a couple of days yet but it's not looking good.

And the posters and pamphlets have been read.
And no.one has forgotten Iraq and Palestine.
WE will end the occupation of Iraq and Palestine.
I've checked around the indymedia network and there are 14 cities taking part tomorrow, and that's just in the English, French, and German language zones.

A grand old Duke called Richard
He had 100,000 men
He marched them up to the top of the hill
and he marched them down again

And when they were up they were up
and when they were down they were down
and when they were only half way up
they were neither up nor down

Dissapointing news indeed Janus - but the protest must go ahead. Better to have some protest, than no protest at all.

Everyone was taken by surprise at the huge turnout for the last big demo in Dublin. You never know, we might be a little (positively) surprised again.

Looks like people are finally realising that it was RIGHT to take over in Iraq. We can't have rogue states like Iraq in this day and age, the message should go out loud and clear that these sort of regimes will not be tolerated. Failure to toe the UN line was the perfect excuse to depose that scumbag.

People are finally realising that the future has never looked better for the people of Iraq.

Like old Wat Tyler, live free or die.
