The protest is in response to the City Managers attempt to intimidate those who have refused to pay the charges. A huge volume of letters has been sent over the last number of weeks threatening court action and non-collection of household waste.
in keeping with sinn fein policy no sligo people should turn up as they should be forced to pay a double tax for bins.thank for your time and we promise that our new range of i'm a 2 faced populist sinner badges will be available soon.
..they implimented privatisation in the health and education services in the 6 counties.
I'm interested to hear about the situation in Sligo. I'm told there was a betrayal of the people of Sligo. Would i be correct in saying that?
The only difference between RSF/Fianna Éireann and the Provo SFers is their differences on the question of abstentionism and the Agreement etc. There is NO evidence whatsoever that if RSF were in the same position as SF in Sligo they would not sell out too. I'm sure if you look closer at a the RSF councillours you will find they are indistinguishable from the FF and FG cllrs.
How do you know we would be the same? I can not offically speak for the movement, but I'm sure if put in the situation, we would people first, before ourselves. You cannot judge us on what PSF do.
I am not judging you by what SF do. I am judging you by your politics. RSF are no different on social issues to SF. This is fact. The split back in the 80s was on the question of taking seats in the Dáil, it was not a 'left-right' split.
If you can show me some evidence of how your public reps are different to SF then please do so. For example, what have RSF members doen in the bin tax campaign?
Well the only evidence that I have is, well we never sold anybody out, like they did in Sligo.
RSF members are active in their communities against these bin charges, which is what they should be doing. People need to be informed on this to reject thise double taxation and it needs people in parties such as RSF etc to tell them, and thats what their members are doing.
"well we never sold anybody out"
Maybe that's because you have simply stayed on the sidelines of every single movement going? The hurler on the ditch etc...
"RSF members are active in their communities against these bin charges"
News to me, I am active in the anti bin tax campaign and I have never heard of any RSF member being active in the campaign. If I am wrong please correct me. What areas are you active in?
RSF are not active in the bin tax campaign (neither are the SWP by the way- but that's another story).
RSF are a bunch of old men that are completely divorced from the growing radicalisation. During the anti-war demos we were given the pleasure of their company when they proudly boasted on this website that their ard comhairle went on the demo at their lunch break from their meeting!
This is a joke of a party that have not tryed to build anything at all in the anti-war movement or anti-bin tax work.
Do people reckon that RSF are the republican version of the sparts?
Always on the sidelines but retaining their 'purity' full of their own self importance and convinced that history is on their side.
This is sectarianism.
Not all are old men. A couple are involved in AFA and campaign against the Bin Tax.
