national / crime and justice / news report Friday July 08, 2011 12:12 by Justin Morahan   text 3 comments (last - friday july 15, 2011 22:36)
Thirty one prosecutions of an innocent man, followed by perjury, cover up, scandalous conduct by judges, barristers, solicitors, Courts Service and DPP's office, assaults by Gardaí etc - there was a long story to tell about the shameless judicial system in ireland outside our Houses of Parliament two days ago.

This story is one that could also come under the Rights and Freedom heading as well as under "Crime and Justice". Kevin Tracey has been the victim of criminal behaviour but he has also been deprived of his human rights and of freedom to live a normal life with his family in peace. read full story / add a comment

dublin / eu / event notice Sunday May 08, 2011 00:37 by O. O'C.
ireland’s Euro-fanatics and ultra-Europhiles are getting panicky.

As the European Central Bank turns us all into indentured debt peons for a generation and France and Germany plan assaults on our 12.5% company tax rate, they fear that ireland’s long love-affair with the EU may be coming to an end.

Hence the ceremony of rededication planned for the Dáil this Monday, “Europe Day”, 9 May.

It is meant as an opportunity for the political leaders of the Euro-faithful to renew their vows. read full story / add a comment

First things first! Have your voices heard in those snowy streets and prevent a bad budget! If the current government or future governments show any signs of corruption, change them. Their mismanagement to date should make such political changes not just necessary but popular. Elect a government who can be trusted to represent national interests against global financial power and capable of cooperating with European allies. read full story / add a comment

Politics in this country has been made muddy by decades of civil war divisions, clientilism and corruption. As a result the political discourse required for significant social change is constricted. Now is an opportunity to change the Irish political landscape forever, for all progressive groups to demand that FF disband. Here are my Top 10 reasons. I'm sure there are more. read full story / add a comment
