British doctors working in Gaza have described the territory as a ?slaughterhouse,? where the patients they are treating are severely malnourished.

Plastic surgeons and orthopedic specialists from the UK are based at the Amal and Nasser hospitals in Khan Younis in the south of the territory.

Dr. Tom Potokar, a plastic surgeon specializing in burn injuries, has worked in Gaza 16 times but said this mission had revealed a level of destruction far greater than his last visit in 2023,

SIPTU Community activists meet in Belfast

Community activists from across the north are joining SIPTU to work together in protecting front line community services in their local areas.

That was the clear message on Tuesday 11th January as community leaders from across the north met at SIPTU's Belfast offices to assess the potential impact of cuts to frontline services in communities and to develop an effective campaign to protect these 'invaluable services' and the projects and centres which deliver them.

(Martin Luther King Day in the United States), the exact prime time for U.S television that the 20 year ongoing war on Iraq began Jan 15 1991. Since the creation of the Orange State in 1922, the Nationalist and Republican community in the Six Counties has suffered from political and secterian policing. The onset of the peace process promised an end to Unionist control over the RUC and an equal society for all? Elected representatives also promised that a new name and uniform would herald a more civil Police service.
