***Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to cancel the talk by Bil’in Organiser Iyad Burnat on non-violent resistance to Israeli Apartheid. We have instead organised the following event which we hope will interest you:*** As part of Israeli Apartheid Week 2012, the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign is honoured to host the Irish Première screening of the new acclaimed film “Roadmap to Apartheid”, to be followed by a Question and Answer session with Huwaida Arraf and Adam Shapiro two of the founders of the International Solidarity Movement, who will discuss non-violent resistance to Israeli Apartheid. The right-wing Heartland Institute think-tank , which produces anti-scientific propaganda for climate change denial purposes , has often been criticized for its links to mining, oil and mineral extraction industries . In Belmullet district court on Monday 20th February, 6 campaigners were convicted of a total of 13 charges between them with fines totaling 3,035 euros. While this went on, local residents blocked Shell's haulage route between Bellanaboy refinery and the compound in Glengad. read full story / add a comment |
