Published: 13 November, 2007 The Sinn Féin Spokesperson on Natural Resources and the Environment, Martin Ferris TD, has voiced his regret over the decision by the Environmental Protection Agency to grant a license to the Corrib Consortium to proceed with the planned gas refinery at Bellanaboy, County Mayo. Deputy raised the issue in the Dáil this afternoon in an effort to have the issue debated, particularly in the light of the Green Party's previous opposition to the sitting of a refinery at that location. read full story / add a comment

Personal Reflections of illness and the Irish system MRSA and its impact on people, on families........Are we negligent? It is not acceptable for our hospitals to be plagued with a disease that is in effect a silent killer and if it fails to kill you leaves you a victim for life of health system that will eventually destroy you. For people with long term illness, the lack of multi-disciplinary medics and an over abundance of management/staff, cleaners etc., the hospitals do not get cleaned as used to be the case. read full story / add a comment
