I'm happy to report that, today, on the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Palestinians ably assisted by Israeli activists and "internationals" tore down a section of the obscenity called the Apartheid Wall near the IOF checkpoint of Qalandiya outside Ramallah in the West Bank. giving a much needed fillip to Palestinian morale and people of good conscience around the world. The action was noteworthy for its meticulous planning and execution which ensured jubilant success. read full story / add a comment

Dear Reader: With all the talk of recession, bank bail outs, jobs losses, swine flu etc, the people of Ireland are being distracted from one of the most significant, disgusting and oppressive taxes, i.e Carbon tax, which the government are hoping to burden the country with. This tax will drive the price of food via an increase in transport costs, and the proposed farm animal tax will also further drive the price of meat up at source adding injury to insult. read full story / add a comment

This was the brainchild of a hotelier Joe Mahon who now wanted to throw turkeys from a 100ft roof for fun to see if they can fly. It’s a stunt for publicity by this sick bumkin in Fermanagh.
However as he now says he never said 'live' in his news release he insists he is using toy turkeys.

An important study which illustrates the paucity of US media reports of civilian deaths in Iraq. hence it is hardly shocking that US citizens are unaware tof the true extent of civilian casualties. Full story at related link.

In February of 2007 Associated Press conducted a survey of 1,002 adults across the United States about their perceptions of the war in Iraq. Whilst the respondents accurately estimated the death toll of U.S. soldiers (the median estimate was 2,974 while the actual toll at the time was 3,100), they grossly underestimated the number of Iraqi civilian casualties (the median answer was 9,890 at a time when several estimates put the toll at least 10 times that number and some as high as 50 times that number). read full story / add a comment
