New Zealand has been lorded over by a so called "liberal" who has been as tyrannical as any tyrant, for the last 18 months. They have had prolonged lockdowns and very severe restrictions and up to now there appears to have been very little resistance that we have known about. But not now and in the last few days, there has been an enormous protest against vaccine passes and COVID mandates outside the Parliament building in wellington, New Zealand. Here two videos are presented and in one of them protesters perform the Haka, a traditional Māori dance. read full story / add a comment

The Attorney General for Northern Ireland John F Larkin QC had called for an end to inquires into the Troubles and the death of civilians. However, this is not the first time the so-called rebel has refused to support an inquiry into innocent deaths. I transcribe below two letters I got from him. This man wrote these letters - fully aware that the several solicitors in Belfast took who took on this case would do nothing - and the last one Norman Shannon sat on it until it became Statute Barred. How can the legal system, both in Belfast and Dublin get away with this cover up. read full story / add a comment

Do we want a great society based on ability and hardwork (often includes character) where people can reach their full potential or the prevailing mediocrity, with its descent-based 'bi-cultural' elite and, what I see as, 'arrested development' ? read full story / add a comment

An ethical approach to human rights, development and globalization to replace neo liberalism is seen as the way to address lack of open government, many human rights omissions leading to mass neglect and the suppression of 'bottom-up' development in New Zealand. The mass purging of 'tall poppies', the 'crushing and isolation' of those at the bottom of the social scale and terrible social outcomes for many children were seen as a consequence of the hegemonic ambitions of a bi-cultural bureaucratic elite wanting to ensure no bottom-up challenges to top-down control. read full story / add a comment

Something for people to consider during a irksome Recession and when vulnerabilities multiply, and people become further ostracised:- 'Where is the Life we have lost living? Where is the wisdom we have lost in Knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information? Ireland has now embracing the status within the EU as an Knowledge Economy, so let us use the Knowledge minus the unwanted information to make proper health provision for the vulnerable and aged. read full story / add a comment

Workers from across London will be giving up their lunch hour today (Friday) to attend a protest outside the Iranian Embassy against its Government's harsh treatment of trade unionists, something which is feared will get even worse in the wake of the current street demonstrations. Long before the current crackdown against Iranians disputing the recent presidential election result, the Government had been harassing and intimidating trade unionists. In Iran members of independent trade unions are frequently beaten up or thrown into prison. And there are concerns that attacks on trade unionists will increase as protesters look for other ways of demonstrating against the regime by taking part in strikes and other work-related protests read full story / add a comment

Governments, campaigners and survivors of cluster bombs from around the world are meeting in New Zealand this week to decide what a treaty banning cluster bombs will include. It is the most significant disarmament conference the New Zealand government has ever hosted and will result in a draft treaty text that countries will agree to negotiate in Dublin, from 19-30 May 2008. Some governments are trying to weaken a treaty by calling for exemptions based on dubious technical fixes. The Cluster Munition Coalition (CMC) are calling for the strongest possible ban on cluster bombs. read full story / add a comment
