Donate to IndymediaIndymedia is a not-for-profit news site that accepts no advertising or commercial support whatsoever. We rely entirely on volunteer labour to keep the site going and donations from users to pay our hosting charges - which keep increasing as our traffic increases - in June of 2010, this was over 13GB a day and about 13 million hits a month. If we want to keep on growing we need the community to help out and for users to donate a few euros towards the bills. We also try to help out with similar projects in other parts of the network, especially in the global south.
It is almost 18 months since our last fundraising appeal in which we raised just over €2000 and this has covered our server costs since then.
As of July 2010, we are now extremely low on funds again and we need to raise at least €2000 to cover for the next year and a bit.
