Message from Iron

Sign of the times

In these difficult times, many people have hoped for a sign from somewhere, showing that maybe, just maybe, everything will turn out okay.

The news from Methuen, a samll town in Essex County, Massachusetts has come, but in the surprising form of a picture of the face of an historical figure on an item of closely associated with unpaid labour.

The face of Karl Marx can certainly be made out, but what does it mean?

Could be Che?
Could be Che?

Full story here:

A woman who recently separated from her husband and saw her hours cut at work says an image of Jesus Christ she sees on her iron has reassured her that “life is going to be good.”

Mary Jo Coady first noticed the image last week when she walked into her daughter’s room.

The brownish residue on the bottom of the iron looks like the face of a man with long hair.

Coady, 44, and her two college-age daughters agree that the image looks like Jesus and is proof that “he’s listening.”

The miraculous face of Marx on that iron means that oppressed housewives of the world must strike while the iron(y) is hot.

A woman in Britain has found a face on a jar of Marmite now. She didn't think it looked like Marx.
