Sex sells, says Lee Taylor, and that is something many brands, caught up in the joyless theatre of modern virtue-signalling, could well stand to relearn.

The Red Cross is paying for the families of hundreds of migrants granted asylum to relocate to Britain. Confronted about this by the Telegraph, Yvette Cooper blamed the Tories. Shock!

Dublin Critical Mass Meeting - Interested in making Dublin critical mass bigger & better?

category dublin | rights, freedoms and repression | event notice author Thursday October 01, 2009 22:49author by Critical Mass Dublinauthor email dublin-critical-mass at googlegroups dot com Report this post to the editors

Then come to an open meeting!

The last CM was a success (look - http://www.indymedia.ie/article/94293), but together it can only get better.

We are meeting up in Seomra Spraoi (www.seomraspraoi.org), Wednesday 7th at 6pm.
Put the fun between your legs
Put the fun between your legs

We are going to discuss the last mass, the next route, what we can do to make it better and we will try to build a network of critical massers in Dublin.

The most important part of the critical mass (apart from the cycle that is!) is spreading the word and getting noticed. This will only happen with the gals & guys of Dublin.

Come along to the next meet-up and make the movement.

If anyone is interested in helping organise the next critical mass(es), but can't make it to the meeting, feel free to ad yourself to the google-group or e-mail the growing list to throw in your 2cents.

Anarchist activists see an inclusive, autonomous, non-profit, blah blah etc space - I just see a cold warehouse down a dark laneway populated by people with patches and spiked hair who want me to join their political organisations (though with a little more subtlety than the socialists, it has to be said). Sorry, but no thanks. If the meeting was being held in the SF offices in Parnell Square, or the Connolly Bookshop, then I would think that a political group was trying to use CM for its own ends. So its the same principle. But yes you are doing the organising, so before anyone gets the hair on the back of their neck up in the righteous anger/zeal of the newly converted, good luck to you. I (and others who organised CM before, I feel) wont be involved. And I imagine whenever some new or more exciting activist thing happens that requires the time and effort of the seomra spraoi crew, you lot wont be either.

William, the space is not just for anarchists, and I should point out that a SF office and a social space are radically different. A SF office is controlled by SF, wheras Seomra Spraoi is run by people, not any political group. Your on about people wanting you to join their 'political group'? I've been involved with helping run the space for about year now. Yet, I am not apart of any political group, that sort of flies in the face of your theory no? By the way, which organisation are you refering to? I guess if we had the meeting in Smock Alley, along with the DCC that would be okay, because it suits your political thoughts.

The space is progressive, cheap, ''inclusive, autonomous, non-profit, blah blah etc space''. The laneway you refer to actually has a street lamp : ) Seomra.S also has language lessons, a childrens kindergarten, bike workshops and bicycle repair classes, games night, food, parties, films etc etc, but I suppose this is apart of the grand plan by ''that political group'' using critical mass for its own ends. Again, what political group is this, you've fabricated something in your mind William, but, like I said, if this was all being organised by people involved with DCC (a political group of which you belong), I'm sure you would be fine with that no? William, some people are good (not implying other people arent, just making a point) and like to organise things that can help other people without a political motivation, its called love.

Your attitude only serves to damage the fun and poisitive cycle we had, and invisage in the furture.

I feel that you have made your mind up. You probably made your mind up the first time you saw me, I really did get that feeling so, good luck with your campaign William, I always had positive things to say about what your (yous are) doing. From man to man though, grow up! (No way, Im not hanging around with him! He listens to X and I only listen to Y)

Now, if you dont mind, I have to go put spikes in my hair and stick my patches on, you know the way we all do it...
