The media are wrong to pin the blame for the Canadian Conservatives' loss on Trump, says Prof James Allan. In truth, the Tories' vote was sky high ? but the Left-wing vote coalesced around Carney.

I thought there was a Fourth International and final international, supported by the followers of Leon Bronstein aka Trotsky. Adherents usually listed "the reconstruction of the Fourth International" as a major goal. Articles in their magazines tend(ed) to quote extensively from documents and speeches from meetings of this Fourth International.

So when was this Fifth International formed and where? Has it superseded the ideals of the Fourth?

Do you have any proof for the above statement? Surely FEE could have gone ahead with anything they wanted with our the SU officer's 'permission'?

I hear from last night that an action planned by UCDSU for today got cancelled due to the cowardice of the UCDSU executive in moving forward with it.................... Its time for FEE to forget the SU and forge ahead without them.

All the careerists and hacks worried about losing their visa to the states perhaps, where was Dan O'Neill showing leadership on this issue or is the power going to his head and becoming a bureaucrat now more important.

They even wanted to ban FEE from what I heard from the meeting ..................scared that students are rising up perhaps and taking matters into their own hands. The guys can hold Hugh Bradys hand and shine up their CV's instead because change is coming.

Power to the students

Between 30-40 people.

Gregor and Dan gave great talks which then led into an open discussion.

Library cuts, new residential security and the increase in health charges were all discussed.

Strong mood in favour to build for a student bloc at the INTO Dublin demo on December 8th.

FEE in UCD building for a protest against Conor Lenihan's visit to campus this wednesday.

Has there been any report back on this?

How many attended? How many engaged with the issue. What is the next move? Etc., etc., etc.

Thanks,
Mark.

FEE,

I wish you all the very best with this meeting. Hopefully it will garner the audience it deserves. Your actions are both noteworthy and noted.

Also, well done to Gregor Kerr and the other speakers for accepting the invitation to speak and taking the time to do so also.

Good luck,
Mark Conroy.

Just to clarify - I'm a member of the INTO, I teach in a school which was recently given a 'Commercial Free School' award by the INTO and the Campaign for Commercial Free Education, I'm also a member of Workers Solidarity Movement and I'll be speaking in a personal capacity
