Well if nothing else Monday proved that we at least we ain't "fairweather Catholic" Workers! It was bucketing down!

Steve and daughter had to leave early as an act of preventive medicine to seek shelter from the storm. Con, Mairtin, Colim and I did
our damp best huddled under the GPO. Lorenzo dropped by and played a revoltionary Italain song on his guitar. Mairitn and Andrea's son Santiago (big hopes for a little Latin flavour to the Irish midfield for World Cup 2026!) will be baptised this Sunday.

This week's "The Irish Catholic" carries a page 19 feature on return of the hammers, and the publiction of Harry Browne's "Hammered by the Irish" (several hundred copies should arrive from U.S. in the next few weeks). Manwhile the book is featuring on www.counterpunch.org Catholic Worker Bookstore in Washington D.C. has 450 copies and has hit the ground running ptomoting it.

Today we will be nailing down a date and venue for a late Sept gig to welcome the book, farewell Damo to Africa, hear a rap from Harry about his book and pass around the $U.S. 7 million hammer for happy snaps.

Drop by next Monday 4pm-6pm GPO, if you're passing!
