It seems that Enid Blyton was way ahead of the curve when it came to understanding the tearing of society apart by compelling everyone to join in the madness to be the same and using Stasi-like police as enforcers.

Thanks redjade for the usual quality.

Thanks ciaran for keeping at it all.

Ciaran, you comment how this action with SWP members and republicans was a seminal point, as new strategies used by people / groups perhaps not fully accustomed to or supportive of their worth, I agree but what has been the response from SWP, Republicans and other "Irish anti war movement" groups after the acquittal? Is there any more recognition for NVDA?

The fact that there might be an assault on Iran is worrying these days, if it happens I wonder will the general opponents to war in ireland, all groups and strategies under different names and banners, will these groups see that last time we simply didnt do enough and asking them not to go to war doesent work, civil disobedience coupled with non violent action to break apart the mechanism of war is perhaps all we have got left...

more on a possible attack on iran;
War in Iran? Civil unrest in Europe?
