This is a public interest story about a complete failure of governance and management at UCC.

offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

This story is unverified but it is very instructive of what will happen when cash is removed
THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

This past weekend 23rd-24th February, Ógra Shinn Féin An Strath Bán organised a weekend of events around the British government’s collusion/soot-to-kill policies.

The weekend kicked off on Saturday morning in Lisnafinn community centre with the monthly meeting of Cuige Uladh and was followed by a demonstration in Strabane town centre.

The protest saw Ógra members take to the streets dressed as members of the RUC, UDA and british army, acting out role plays demonstrating the passing on of information on Nationalist/Republican ‘targets’. The protest attracted a mass amount of attention as members of the public became curious as to the presence of state forces and unionist paramilitaries on the street on a packed Saturday!

In an interview with the Strabane Chronicle, Ógra Shinn Féin spokesperson Seán Mac Giolla Easpaig said;

“We are here today to campaign for the truth about Britain’s dirty war in Ireland, especially its role in formulating the repressive counter insurgency policies of Collusion/shoot-to-kill. Today also marks the 23rd anniversary of the deaths of IRA volunteers Charles Breslin and brothers Michael and David Devine. These three men were executed by the british SAS without any chance to surrender and there is strong evidence to state that they received their “shoot-to-kill” orders directly from Whitehall.”

After the protest, activists sat down to lunch back in the community centre before listening to a presentation on the history of British state sponsored violence. The presentation was given by Strabane Sinn Féin councillor Brian McMahon along with Paul Gore, Strabane SF’s education officer.

After the well received presentation, activists were shown a dvd on the shoot-to-kill murders of the three volunteers in 1985 which was followed by a question and answer session. That night a function had been organised by the Strabane Memorial Flute Band where everyone was treated to a a great nights craic with music from 'Flight of the Earls' and the Coatbridge RFB all the way from Scotland.

Sunday saw the annual Breslin/Devine commemoration parade organised by the SMFB, during which the banner of ÓSF was proudly carried. The entertainment for the rest of the night included a quiz, band competition, and music by Strabane’s very own Terry Boyle.

Strabane Memorial Flute Band and Ógra Shinn Féin would like to thank everyone for their support, and we look forward to seeing you’s all next year.

Is british intelligence pulling the strings of the provos an illusion? Since 1986(when the provisionals first turned their back to the Republic) the retreat away of Republican principles, ideas, and politics by the Adamsite has seen the greatest success of collusion. PSF supports partition, Supports the RUC, and are part and parcel of teh status quo with 'ministers' who dish out Brit rule to our people. Provisional collusion with Britian is no illusion.

In war people die.
When we had to do dirty things ourselves we did them - touts who were selling out their comrades needed to be rubbed out - no hatred involved just the rules of the game.
RUC officers and part-time UDR members could not be got at when they were on duty and armed.
It was easier to get them when they were off duty - if this involved knocking them off in front of their families so be it - we were not playing games or having arguments with these people.
Labourers doing contract work for the British Army building bases, re-roofing, installing central heating, electrical appliances and such like were collaborators with the enemy and had to be taken out.
To bring Stormont down the economy of the North had to be attacked - commerical premises we bombed. We had to scare the anti-republican population and if that meant planting bombs and giving a few minutes warning but led to civilian deaths that too bad - it was war. If British and American forces bomb targets and kill civilians as an unintended by product that's just too bad.
To raise funds we had to rob banks - if that led to the odd garda killed in a pursuit or a bank employee shot dead well that was too bad.

I don't accept that IRA members killed in the line of duty were victims - they signed up and knew the score - this was not a game of cops and robbers and cowboys and indians - it was a war. If you were involved in armed struggle against the Brits you accepted that it could mean and bullet and the other side did not play fair so we didn't either.

That war is over now - We got what we wanted - Sinn Fein has a place in government with the unionists and we can forget the past and move on to a peaceful transition to Irish unity.

"We got what we wanted - Sinn Fein has a place in government with the unionists"

Funny how paradigms have been shifted to make this seem like it was the ultimate aim of the struggle in the North, talk about moving the goalposts.

Sure paradigms shift.
This is the real world after all.
The Troubles was negotiation through violence - the Republican movement was always in contact with the Brits through back channels while the war went on.
Michael Collins, & DeValera were communicating in secret with the Brits at the height of War of Independence long before the Treaty.

At the moment you can be sure that the CIA are also in secret contact with Al-Qaeda and Iran and North Korea.

The Republican knew that some stage the violent strategy would have to end and negotiations would commence.
When the Brits were back tracking and stalling we would launch a spectacular to make them know we hadn't gone away.

That strategy is no longer needed because it is clear the Irish unity can be achieved by killing loyalism with kindness towards our goal of a united ireland.

By going into government with the unionists we have won a victory and brought the day of Irish unity forward.

Resurrecting the nasty dirty past of Brit activies naturally resurrects memories of morally dodgy but necessary deeds that we ourselves did.

What is done is done, it can't be undone, so we have to crack on with a new reality.

"THE BRITISH ARMY FAILED TO SUPPRESS THE IRA OR SNUFF OUT REPUBLICAN SEPARATISM IN NORTHERN IRELAND."

The British Army and RUC did succeed in containing the IRA to the extent
that the latter was quite unable to attain anything approaching a military
victory. In that space an opening for politics eventually emerged. To
that extent British policy of firmness against the IRA succeeded.

It was never a British objective to "snuff out Republican separatism in
Northern Ireland" nor could it have been done without the ethnic
cleansing of large areas. The British had their failings but they never
contemplated a Milosevic type solution or at least not in recent times.
They were also realists - separatism was a reality in Ireland and in
most of the former British colonies - they came to respect the reality
and permanence of it a long time ago.

“THAT WAR IS OVER NOW - WE GOT WHAT WE WANTED - SINN FEIN HAS A PLACE IN GOVERNMENT WITH THE UNIONISTS AND WE CAN FORGET THE PAST AND MOVE ON TO A PEACEFUL TRANSITION TO IRISH UNITY.”

Is that really all you wanted all along? I doubt. You people always said you wanted a 32 county socialist republic no less. SF owes its place in Government to electoral success not the IRA. On the contrary SF only became the dominant nationalist party in NI when the IRA ceased its campaign. Sunningdale for slow learners again. Pity several thousand people had to be killed in the meantime. Moreover far being path to unity the GFA is primarily an arrangement for the Governance of NI under partition. Not Irish unity.

yours with respect

It was the adamsite leadership that did all that. Yes, the brits controlled the maneuvering but was they who did it the provisional leadership and their loyal followers who did the actual work.and who helped them at it? Everyone from the phoblacht sellers to the lads who smashed up or threatened lcr, tyrone prisoners fund and rsf meetings on teh behalve of their 'northern' leadership. all are complicit. Adams and co didnt get where they are by themselves. today a bridge to far asks the loyal labourer who fool that he was never thought to inquire where the bridge went.
