offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

Venezuela: Reforms take away what is gained through the struggle

category international | rights, freedoms and repression | news report author Friday November 09, 2007 19:02author by El Libertario, Venezuelaauthor email ellibertario at nodo50 dot org Report this post to the editors

*This is the editorial of the latest edition of El Libertario(Venezuela, #51, November 2007, now available -in spanish- in www.nodo50.org/ellibertario) in which this mouthpiece of Venezuelan Anarchism set outs its position with regard to the Constitutional Reforms which the current Government seeks to impose on this country.
El Libertario, Venezuela, # 51
El Libertario, Venezuela, # 51

Once again we must consider the dilemma of whether to participate or not in the electoral contest (referendum), this time with the difference that it is not a case of choosing a candidate but rather constitutional norms for the government of collective life. This situation requires careful reflection. If we heed current positions what we have is a ruling party that accepts en masse the reforms proposed by the Boss and increased embarrassingly in a premeditated manoeuvre by a servile National Assembly. The absurdities of the original constitutional reforms were so many that it set the scene for a comical fictitious debate which resulted in a plastering of equally aberrant additions. There is no serious debate of content and reasons, only discourses that are submissive to the tyrant, without any other sustaining logic than the desire to keep him in power. The rhetoric does not even justify some proposals without declining into nonsense and open contradictions. On the other hand the institutional opposition stumbles in the darkness, not knowing how to confront it, relying on discourses and spokesmen from the past. They have content themselves with showing through the media a small part of the absurdities that the Constitutional Reform contains- precisely those parts that threaten their own narrow interests- the radical rule changes of the political game and some of the resultant consequences, without any clear position or defining any sort of campaign in a concrete direction.

Thus, we suggest that faced with the alternatives of either voting for the rejection of the Constitutional Reform or abstaining, it is better to renounce participation in the Referendum and promote abstention. The timid questions that arise from the grass roots supporters of the Chavez regime clearly demonstrate the general level of analysis and understanding of the proposals, highlighting the infantilisation of the discourse promoted equally by the leaders of the militaristic pseudo-left in power and the rightwing and social democrat opposition. And so we can partially see the logic behind the rush to change what up until recently has been sold as the ‘best constitution in the world. The oil bonanza also allows the executive to increase its broad client network in readiness for the coming electoral showdown. In addition to all this is the clear opportunism by which, bypassing proper electoral norms, the Government conducts its ‘Yes’ campaign, forcing the support of public sector employees and everyone else who is dependant on public finance. It is not difficult to be reminded of the precariousness and lack of independence of the electoral process, as is illustrated by the trajectory of the last head of the CNE (National Electoral Council), Jorge Rodríguez, who is now executive Vice-President.

We believe that with or without voters the Reform will be passed. However through abstention and the absence of the electorate it is possible to make it illegitimate, even when it is legal. A very low number of voters in the coming poll would be a way of debilitating the regime from making any further moves, demonstrating that there is no ‘revolution’ in popular participation but rather a deepening of presidential personalism. If you believe that this is unimportant because the Government will consolidate its power anyway (which will happen regardless), or because people prefer to be on the winning side even when its victory is deceitful or fraudulent, remember that there is always a space to negate the validity of the leadership due to its illegitimacy. An illegitimate Government, despite its maintaining itself in power, dissolves the tacit relationship of obedience that the population bestows upon it, removing, albeit partially, the collective acceptance of its activity, and thus the implementation of its mandates have to based increasingly on the authoritarian exercise of power.

A significant abstention would mark the separation of the people, their aspirations and desires from those who hold State power, as it would similarly mark the separation of the discourse from the facts, breaking the voluntary servitude that makes it possible to govern. It would also highlight the failure of the State as an institution that manages collective life, at least in terms of the present militarist and individualist configuration. Of course the transition from the current situation to a clear and coherent horizon of social justice and liberty will not be achieved in a short period of time. The avoidance of shortcuts and a focussing on the reconstruction of belligerent and autonomous grass roots social movements is, without doubt, a long road, but it is also the most realist. A first step in this direction would be a complete understanding of what we are living and what confronts us in this country, a perspective that is both realist and utopian, which will not be found in the ballot boxes next December.

It is also relevant to consider the situation after the ineluctable ratification of the Reform. From January 2008 new powers granted by the National Assembly to the President, based in the approved constitution and through the mechanism of the Ley Habilitante (which gives Chavez the ability to pass laws without recourse to Congress) will be established. It will be necessary to take away efficiency from the offensive prepared by the ruling party in order to have absolute power in his(Chavez’s) hands over the nation. We underline the fact that Governmental and State actions to imprison public opinion in their own hands have already begun. This process implies a set of measures tending towards silencing dissidence, criminalizing protest, squashing any sort of opposition to the State and leading the country in an authoritarian manner ready to punish dissenting attitudes, calling for its disqualification through worn out epithets in order to lay the basis for punitive responses.

The State’s economic boom is not exclusively subordinate to the price of a barrel of oil, but also through the expansive policy of public spending increased through neo-liberal policies and funded by taxation. In other words it is not simply a problem of income but also of expenditure and this implies an avalanche or snowball effect that is impossible to control. It is in this context that the authoritarian administration in the service of global energy capital is at risk. The plans of social support are financially backed up by the current surplus of funds, but if this ceased to be the case, due to the overwhelming financial liabilities of the state, it would be necessary to employ regressive policies that would negatively affect the population such as future devaluations, tax increases, cutbacks in the Misiones program and other measures aimed at maintaining spending levels. It is necessary to emphasize that despite the immense propaganda deployed, the social policies implemented by the ‘Bolivarian revolution’ have not significantly improved the quality of life of the population and have increased the social debt in terms of housing, urban security, health, education, employment and social security. These factors will generate social conflicts that will be suffocated by different repressive means according to each case.

Faced with this panorama, those of us who don’t renounce liberty and social justice must prepare ourselves to confront a general increase of coercion and collective control. This must be done without becoming paranoid; we know that we are not faced with the military government of Myanmar but rather an expression of neo-militarism as an efficient model for maintaining the despotic domination of Venezuelan society, in the service of, we repeat, the global energy market. All of this suggests that we must prepare, from taking measures for personal security to making ready for the escalation of repression that will be legitimized by the constitution that will be approved in December and that will consecrate the architecture of the totalitarian State. Moving beyond the conservative and reactionary elements of the media driven opposition, the social struggle must confront the governmental Leviathan developing new, creative and unexpected forms of organisation and resistance.

Hugo Chavez insisted on heckling fellow delegates to the annual Ibero-American summit which this year was held in Santiago Chile. It's an annual bash which allows the leaders of almost all the Central & South American states to sit down with the Spanish King, Prime minister of Andorra and the chief of state of Portugal. Chavez it seems was on a bit of a roll, & gurgled about Aznar being a fascist ""fascists are not human. A snake is more human." & though his microphone was cut off harrangued Spanish prime minister Zapatero who responded that Aznar had been democratically elected. Hugo "the man" continued ranting & the King of Spain Juan Carlos yelled at him "why don't you just shut up".

This was the most exciting thing which happened at this year's Ibero-American conference & really doesn't compare at all with previous gigs which saw Hugo maul Chile's President Michelle Bachelet, who this year got her arm squeezed by the King yesterday instead. You've got to put it all in perspective. These men go mad when they're left in the same room as Michelle Bachelet.

Fair play to Chavez.
He only said the truth, Aznar was a fascist, and the King, another fascist, of course could not deal with that statement. Nor could Zapatero, who openly shows that his left linings are more of a joke than a reality. The Spanish State is a fascist entity. That is what imperialism amounts to and that is what the Spanish State is, an imperialist project forced on people. Representing "Spain" is representing fascism, nothing else.

It is no surprise that even an alleged 'left wing' newspaper such as El Pais applaudes that outdated king that Franco himself put on the throne.

Spain is no democracy. Real democracies do not illegalise democratically elected parties, which is what the Spanish State has done with the Basque left wing independentist party Batasuna, they do not close radio stations and newspapers, nor practice interment, which is what the Spanish Goverment is doing and has been doing in the Basque Country for decades.

Please know that 'spanishness' is a media creation, that the Iberian peninsula (Portugal excepted here) is peppered with independence movements all throughout its geography, and that nor that king nor Zapatero represent all those who have to endure a "Spanish nationality" whether they like it or not.

A big hurrah for Hugo Chavez. The world shines with people like him.

Chavez loves the sound of his own voice and has no manners and intends to be in power for life. Amazing how so called revolutions of the people require only one of the people to be in power for ever.

I have great respect for Zapatero and the King particularly the former, given that there are serious political enemies with Aznar and he was still willing to defend him and the Spanish political process.

Zapatero defends Aznar because himself and Aznar are one; one = Spain.
So much for PSOE invoking left wing internationalism against left wing independentist Basques, ha ha ha.
When Zapatero is faced with Chavez love for speaking out truth, he rather sides with Aznar as the representation of Spain. Yeah, Spain, that overpowering 'reality' that overrides any ideological allegiance. Face it, when these people talk about 'Spain', there is no divide between left and right: hated husband and beaten up wife get together and fight against judges and women right activists, if you know what I mean.

"Spain", like "Britain", is an imperialist construct, by nature opposed to left wing projects. PSOE is quite happy to slam the door on the ongoing Spanish civil war and pretend nothing happens, all for the so-called "Spanish unity" and Franco's installed king. So much for a man, Zapatero, whose grand father fought and died with the Republican factions, I wonder what would his ancestor have thought to see him side by side with the king.

Because finding a decent leader that is not the tool of capitalism and wants to improve the lot of the less well off in his country and who takes real steps to let them benefit from the wealth accruing from the country's natural resources is indeed a rarity and they are very lucky and should hold on to him as long as possible.

Viva Chavez!!

Wish we still had someone in the dail with his honesty, courage and integrity instead of a bunch of cowering (or "cowening"?) corrupt and spineless cowards who care nothing for what happens to our country in the longer term.

Naturally nobody is interested in what the conference achieved & what the results of all these deals between democratically elected or institutionalised fascists & their garrulous verbal diahorrea commie chums are to be in the future. & that's pretty much how Michelle Bachelat summed it all up. It's curious that everytime Hugo goes off to sign deals which are really capitalist globalisation expansionist stuff he has to remind everyone that he's agin it all........ naturally.

For what it's worth the storm has now probably blown over, [http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7091910.stm ] kiddies through the land of the Spanish state are now using ¿Por que no te callas? as their mobile ring tone, including oddly enough independently minded kiddies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5WgeCfhET8

It's like it could go really silly. Did the king have advanced knowledge of the coup against Chavez? Did he have advanced knowledge of the coup Chavez himself led? Did Chavez have advanced knowledge of the Humala tuna cans with his face on them distributed in Peru? Is it all really simple now? Will one of the 100 usable names in a future Venezuela include "king" or "juan carlos"? Who else has JC told to shut up? Is Aznar less human than a snake? Will anyone ever tell Hugo to shut up again or does he have carteblanche to gurgle through everyone else's speeches non-stop ribbid ribbid ribbid? Did Hugo have to really think about his retort the next day & the "mr" King thing & if so did he feel silly that he was't quick enough to get it in the first day instead of sheeplishly finally shutting up the way Michelle Bachelat asked him to? How many Chavs could actually deal with a night on the town with the man?

tis the latin character. You don't get anglo-saxon or general EU heads of state doing that, & you wouldn't get the Brit Queen be so forthright. (she probably waits for the lights to go out before shapeshifting and biting off the offending head) & as I captioned the picture of the pair of them being "pals" - they live for the publicity. So they both came out of it well. Even ZP came out of it well.

I do not like Zapatero's eyebrows and Chavez has let his waistline go, but from way down
here (where many people do not matter to them) I would like to know if anyone discussed
Tabasco and the Dominican Republic. I am tired of poseurs and people thinking they
are intelligent and funny, when all they do is point score and rut.

Did JC offer money to the people of Tabasco where Cortes landed to destroy S.A?
Are there more Tuna cans from Chavez?
Have they told Bush to fuck off yet?

[I mean how long must be wait for them to cop on to external realities??]
