Don't SEGI realise that Ogra's adult party Sinn Fein have joined with those who continue to partition Ireland and are eager participants in an institution, Stormont which many brave Volunteers died to abolish? They are now openly supportive of a Police Force and judicial system which still incarcerates Republicans. I bet that Ogra didn't tell you that?

I think its a case of the Basque seperatist movement knowing what side their breads buttered on.
ETA made their feelings quite clear on how to deal with its own members who advocate Sinn Fein style peace processes, still and all the Provos can do alot more for them than other Irish republican groups.
Seeing OSF worshiping the basques makes me sick.

Long Rifles abu??? what that all about. Are those the rifles that were decommissioned at the bequest of the Unionists and British? i am not to proud to sell papers, but not when i is increasingly full of nonsense. I am sick of people in Sinn Fein yapping that not enough women are in struggle, or that they are the party of the working class.

well what is minister Ruane doing? she is presiding over a decision to cut the wages of working class, mainly women, classroom assistants. Next year we wil have minister Murphy introduce water charges.

how does a little radical friends in Ogra explain why the SF MLA all agreed with the private financing part of the Workplan 2010 that deals with the NI civil service. And yes i get Republican News every week and still SF proclaim to be a socialist party in it. while their actions in Stormont make a lie of this.

Yet SF leadership feed thier members on a constant diet of Commemorations and ticket sales. Being in SF is one long slog of ticket sales while being encouraged not to question the actions of our MLA.s

Yes KD I don´t forgotten than in Ireland are Republican prisioners today,and that SF has resigned to many values, but I continue considering the ÓSF people as fight comrades(and oviously Republican SF,and other Republican parties). In my trips to belfast they have treated to me very well and she will not forget that.

Asier, the Northern Irish people are no better off today than they were 20 or 30 years ago. Instead of the Brits terrorising our communities it is drug dealers, hoods and anti-social elements all allowed to continue without fear of prosecution by the state police force which now has the backing of Sinn Fein.
Not once, despite their claims to put manners in the state police force, have Sinn Fein demanded action from the floor of the 6 County Parliament nor questioned the inability of that force to bring those scum to justice.
Why? Because they want the people crying out for that police force to be introduced into our communities thus justifying their support for it.
One question Asier, would the Basques ever contemplate supporting the Spanish Police or Judicial system?

Did none of you see Adams' performance on BBC's Hard Talk, when he said, quote;
"UNIFICATION IS NOT INEVITABLE"
That coupled with the fact that MI5 are building their headquarters in Holywood without so much as an utterance from Sinn Fein makes a lie of everything he has said since the days of victory parades down the Falls in 1994.

Asier you may have noticed that Ogra are incapable of coming out and defending the actions of their parent party, except maybe to accuse people of sniping from the sidelines. There have been numerous valid points made on this thread, but Ogra have been unable to answer one of them.

The RM are out challenging Anti Socials, Drug Dealers etc and ave been consistently, but then the RM should never have been a police service which is why they are now critically engaging with the PSNi and Guards to provide a proper service that should part deal with anti social problem.

The other part of anti - social problem is a community response, and who here can claim to be doing more on community engagement and empowerment than SF.

To say that people are no better of than 20 - 30 years ago is rubbish, ok things are far from perfect, there is along way to go, but your living in cloud cuckoo land if you think that things haven't improved.

Republicans, especially young republicans are interested and motivated by activism, and KD, and all you other people seem to spend more time on here than doing anything productive, please list me the last productive your organisation did for:

a. the basque Country

b. Ireland

I await answers.

Engaging with the PSNI who are putting them back on the Streets? What are you doing to ensure that they pay for their crimes?
What are you doing in Belfast?
What are you doing in Derry? A few examples will do.

When are Sinn Fein going to put manners in the PSNI?
20 or 30 years ago we had to suffer at the hands of the Brits, the RUC and State controlled Loyalist killers.
The Brits have stepped into the background to keep watch on us from the new MI5 Headquarters in Holywood, while Sinn Fein now engages with their Police Force about hoods which they control in the first place.

The Basques like ourselves desire freedom but won't achieve it by taking the path of Sinn Fein.

Alex I notice that you conveniently avoided my question about Adams comment on Hard Talk that Unification is not inevitable. Do you agree with him?
If he is correct then what was the war all about? Was it merely about the growth of Sinn Fein as a replacement for the SDLP?
What would the Basques say if one of their leaders made a similar comment about Freedom not being inevitable?

Yeah Barry lets all sit back log onto indymedia anxwait for unity, i seen Hard talk and Gerry meant what he said in the context of lets not get complacent, we can't wait for a united Ireland (like 32CSm) we must be active and work for it, affect change and popularise the Republican struggle, through actual community based activism - Hrad grafting (which you's don't quite grasp) is necessary for Victory.

Tell me Barry, what has you or your organisation done for:

a. Ireland

b. Basque Country

Because the RM are actively pursuing struggle in both.

So, Alex by working for a United Ireland you mean, sitting in a 6 County Puppet Government, running this part of Ireland in a way acceptable to the British. Remaining silent while they fortify their position in this part of the country by building the Headquarters of their intelligence services here.
Where is the hard graft in being subservient and calling for your people to support a Police force still unanswerable for their crimes of the past supporting a judicial system that is wholly British and more concerned with handing out heavy sentences to Republicans while allowing Hoods and Loyalist drug dealers, as happened recently, to go scott free?

i live in south armagh, heartland of the RM, in my particular town there is nightly anti social behaviour and drug dealing. the RM and the cops are well aware of what is going on, but both are sitting back and letting it happen. the cops dont care cause it is a nationalist town. my question is... how have SF put manners on the cops? they Havent.

the people of this town returned a sf mla, yet i have not seen him since his election, come to think of it, i have not seen the MP Conor Murphy either. that is nearly four years! really they dont give a shit what goes on here. but come to this election if Brown calls it, SF will expect its members to be out canvasing, but party have done bugger all since the last time.

could some one please outline the difference between SF now and the SDLP. i am aware that OSF are more radical and were anti the motion at the sf policing ard fhies, but in reality, i know senior sf members smile when they go round talking about che guevara.

SF have went lost thier radical edge, they feed this bullshit to the people, and thier members that they wil be rthe adical voice in councils, stormont, or policing boards. but in reality they are as soft as the SDLP ever where.

SF could win back alot of the support they have lost in this town if they grew a set of balls. no need to go back to war, or get guns or anything, but just stand up more and say when things are wrong. and if the elected reps where seen in the places that elected them.

Very interesting report from the trip, read a bit more on the situation, its very complex conflict, no right wing faction like the loyalists, just the government. And the PNV, similar to the SDLP are very prominent.

Anyway enjoyed the read, keep up the solidarity with a worthwhile cause.

Segi hasn't been called Segi in years, the were called Jarai who were also illegalised, so it always strikes me as off that OSF refer to them that way. Asier Tapia Zulaika was a former leader of Segi who has been on the run since 2005, he was arrested on a French road the 2nd of October & is to be extradited to Spain.

Joseba Alvarez filled the gap left when Arnaldo Otegi began is prison sentance earlier this year as acting leader of Batasuna, he was arrested along with Oihana Agirre on orders of Garzon the 2nd of October too.

Basque tv reported yesterday that an Irish governmental delegation would go to the Basque where the lehandakari (taoiseach) is preparing a consultation (referendum) on self-determination which gets right up the Spanish nose, and considering the Garzon order to detain 22 members of Batasuna's front bench or highest positions tonight, seems just about the most radical thing happening.

you might consider that news. you might even offer an analysis or step by step guide should you think your thoughts would be useful.
