Now we're part of Nato ?

category national | anti-war / imperialism | other press author Wednesday August 01, 2007 09:21author by Cathar Report this post to the editors

Indo's take on the world

Is Ireland now considered part of Nato as an Irish General takes over a key NATO post in Kosovo

In today's independent there is a story about an Irish General taking over a key NATO post in Kosovo.

This is another milestone in the road of Shame that the Fianna Fail government has brought us down.
Where will the Irish Government, slavishly following American policies and with total disregard of our neutrality, send our Army to next
Afghanistan has also a NATO presence maybe thats the next destination for our coalition of the willing Government.. Or why not Iraq?

What does the other in Government (and obliviously supportive) the New Green Party make of this. They probably understand more about the Coalition of the willing than anyone else , having compromised their principles and stated poliies, for whatever agenda their present excuses for joining a government witout integrity are concealing.
If they'd show some balls on Shannon and the M3 I for one won't have the feeling that I canvassed for one of their candidates under false pretences.
I suppose it's another Bart Simpson moment for Gormley with the New Green Party approach - I dunno I didn't do it.
