Protestors campaigning for airport workers and for dock workers were present along the route of May Day parade in Belfast on Saturday 5th May, challenging the trade union movement on its record in these disputes.

In both cases the unions involved have been accused of betraying the workers, union members no less.

I applauded the protesters on Saturday and applaud and support any worker in a struggle for justice. When the injustice is perpetrated by the very organisation that should defend the said worker then I think any fair minded clear thinking Trade Unionist should do the same. Trade Unions and their leaderships in particular should be very clear why, they are where they are, and where their loyalties and priorities must be.

Why don't the widows and wives of Dockers start a campaign to highlight their dead husband ane who they blame for their deaths.

If my husband was sent to his death the way they say I would have a lot to say about it.
