the silence of elected political representatives for the north Inner City of Dublin into the activities of the convicted paedophile Christopher Griffin. who to-day was sentenced to life in prison speaks volumes.

congratulations to the woman who is a survivor of child sex abuse. at the hands of Christopher Griffin.
no amount of intimidation to silence her.would shut her up. she is to be commended for taking the stand. despite voilent attacks organised by those who were apart of Griffin drug empire. who did every thing to descredit this woman.

As far as I know, a local Councillor, and an MEP from one party have supported the aunt and family of the victim, who has been a victim of attempts to intimidate them by criminals.

Other political activists from the same party have been at the forefront of helping the family, given the difficult circumstances whereby Christopher Griffin's partner, the victim's mother, did not agree with the prosecution.

People from other political parties and groups may also have been supportive, I can't say.

In situations like this, it is more important to provide support and real help for families and communities, rather than using an issue like this to play politics. Making public statements can sometimes exacerbate the situation, and be used by offenders to claim that they may not receive a fair trial.
