Galway protests in solidarity with Rossport.

Big Oil & the jackboot !

Following the Gardai streamrolling of protest in Rossport this morning, ably assisted by young dudes from the Labour Youth, Sinn Fein and the Socialist Party and the noted writers Fred Johnson and Margaretta D\'Arcy, Galway Shell to Sea picketed and protested outside Mill Street in Galway this evening for an hour and a half in solidarity with our beleaguered sisters and brothers in Rossport.

Danny (SP) was particularly active in that, afterwards, he attended the meeting of the NUIGalway student branch of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign - in session over tomorrows propaganda visit to the campus by the Israeli ambassador, what's his face - before heading up to Rossport for more solidarity on the front line.

Maura Harrington's son, God bless 'im was also in attendance at our 20 strong protest (not all are shown in the shots).

Now that the phoney war is over and Shell and the present crew in government have bared their fangs in contempt at the democratic process, relentless protest is now our moral imperative to force these bastards back?.
