No Telly- no opium for the masses, unless of course it is carefully extracted from poppies
(joke)
Good Luck and best wishes.
There is a TV in the place! But it should be switched to something edifying.
Sport is a circus that diverts the minds of the masses from the political tasks which confront them!
and hope she flys far far away.. then burn the cage
Have a great day- the boyz like the opium of the people, be it sport
or blogging conferences, but the party is on all day so maybe they
will unflatten the bollox and offer solidarity when the sublimation
sessions are over.
Best of luck and looking forward to a good mag and meeting loads
of activists.
Burn the Telly.
err... i think there is no teevee box, so the possibility of watching a match on the sly is tiny.
am i going out on a limb by asking whther the ireland- cyprus match will be shown?
This Saturday, from 5pm 'til late in Seomra Spraoi, Dublin.
It's going to be brilliant, deadly band, yummy food, amazing women and a
great magazine.
RAG magazine – Dublin’s new feminist publication
A fabulous, fun-filled launch party will take place on Saturday the 7th of
October at Seomra Spraoi, No.6 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1. Doors open at
5pm, food will be served at 6pm, the band Party Weirdo will play at 9pm
followed by DJs afterwards. Entrance is a measly €5 on the door which will
include a shiny new magazine for your mitts, a plate of food for your belly
and stencilling stuff to allow you to jazz up your t-shirt/bag/hoodie with a
kick-ass feminist image. Launch will be child-friendly until 9pm….
RAG is a collective of anarcha-feminists in Dublin who have been meeting for
the past year and a half. We have worked together on various projects -
while steadily plodding away towards this goal: Issue 1 of the RAG magazine!
The magazine contains interesting and inspiring articles on a wide range of
subjects including: why do anarchists go to school, feminist health, child
birth, women in the libertarian movement in Dublin, sexual violence, book
reviews, women in film, personal accounts of sexual assault and immigration
and many other topics both serious and more light-hearted.
All are very welcome, drop in at any stage over the evening, feel free to
bring along music to play. It’s going to be brilliant.
The magazine will be available in distros and friendly book shops in Dublin
and across Ireland soon but get it first, come to the launch.
