Renewables are not cheap and are never going to be, says David Turver. With over £12 billion being paid in subsidies to or because of renewables each year, the claim that renewable will save us money is a myth.

The Guardian's Marina Hyde has mocked Russell Brand for his baptism in the Thames. It's easy to scoff, says James Alexander, but at least Brand, like his new religion, is trying to find the truth.

Tar éis cuairteanna ar scoileanna agus coláistí i mBéal Feirste cláraíodh 59 ball úr ag Na Gaeil Óga Bhéal Feirste agus bunaíodh cumann le coiste an oíche sin (Dé Máirt, 7 Feabhra 2006) i gCumann Chluain Ard.

Bunaíodh coiste Na Gaeil Óga Bhéal Feirste, i gCumann Cluain Ard aréir le Gaeilgeoirí óga aonáracha, daltaí Coláiste Feirste, baill de Chumann Ghaelach Coláiste Naomh Mhuire agus baill de Chumann Ghaelach Ollscoil na Ríona.
Beidh cuairteanna curtha ar mheánscoileanna eile amach anseo agus bhí ionadaithe Na Gaeil Óga ag lainseáil Acht Gaeilge i dTeach Windsor inniu.

A new Belfast branch of Na Gaeil Óga was set-up after a visit to a number of schools and colleges yesterday (Tuesday, 7/2/06). A committee was put together in the Cumann Cluain Ard last night and was made up of, young individual Irish language speakers, pupils from Coláiste Feirste, members from Cumainn Ghaelaigh in St Mary's College and Queens University.

Visits will be organised to other secondary schools in the near future with the aim of developing the group.

Members of Na Gaeil Óga also attended the launch of the Irish Language Act campaign this morning in Windsor House in Belfast and gave their support to the campaign.

Na Gaeil Óga will be in Coleraine on the 23rd to set up a branch there, and in Derry on the 24th of February.

They will also be setting up a branch in Letterkenny on the 7th of March.

There's a small possibility that Na Gaeil Óga will be set up in Gaoth Dobhair this saturday, more info will be revealed as it becomes available.

Sliocht as LÁ an lae inniu.

Gréasán náisiúnta á neartú ag Na Gaeil Óga

Tá Na Gaeil Óga, óg-eagraíocht neamhspleách na Gaeilge, i mbun feachtais náisiúnta earcaíochta faoi láthair agus, oíche aréir, bhunaigh siad an chéad chumann s’acu ó thuaidh.
Shocraigh an grúpa, a dhéanann ceangal gníomhach sóisialta a chruthú idir Gaeilgeoirí óga ar fud na tíre, ar ghreasán s’acu a neartú i ndiaidh gur éirigh go breá leo cumainn a chur ar bun i nGaillimh agus i gCorcaigh, ar na mallaibh.
Dar le hArdrúnaí Chonradh na Gaeilge, Julian de Spáinn, gur “Duracell na Gaeilge” iad Na Gaeil Óga agus go bhfuil fuinneamh agus acmhainn acu nach raibh ar fáil do Ghaeilgeoirí óga roimhe seo.
