PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release: 16 January, 2006
Na Gaeil Óga: Youth Conference
“Ní neart go cur le chéile” or Strength in Coming Together is the theme of the Youth Conference organised by Na Gaeil Óga, for next Monday in Trinity College in Dublin. The conference will be chaired by PopTV’s, Sorcha Ní Thomáin and will feature guest speakers such as, Siún Nic Gearailt, Rossa Ó Snódaigh (Kíla), Daithí Mac Cárthaigh, and Pádraig Ó Ceithearnaigh on the theme of “Young People and the Irish Language”.
The aim of the conference is to inspire young people to use Irish by informing them of their rights with regard to the Irish Language, the role of the Irish language in the Irish education systems, and the importance of promoting the language amongst the growing immigrant communities in Ireland. Youth organisations, Irish language student societies, Na Gaeil Óga members, young people and members of the Irish language community will be attending the Conference.
Ciarán Mac Fhearghusa, Na Gaeil Óga Chairperson, says that “Irish is increasingly becoming sexier, more interesting and more enjoyable mainly as a result of the current boom in the social calendar of the Irish language community. We must build from this by making young people aware of their rights in relation to Irish and aware of an ever-growing and vibrant Irish language youth movement if we are to secure the future of the language for the next generations.”
Na Gaeil Óga is an politically independent youth movement, that aims to develop social and activism based links between youth organisations and individuals interested in Irish.
The youth conference will be held in the Swift Lecture Theatre on Monday, 23 January at 7.30pm. For more information contact +353 85 739 5580 or at nagaeiloga@gmail.com.

Cad a shocraigh sibh agus ar dhúirt Joe P. morán?
An seasann Joe P fá choinne Joe Pasquale?
Ag freagair do cheiste, níor chuala mé Joe ag an gComhdháil, go bhfios dom ar aon nós.
Agus no, níor cuireadh an cheist ar Chiarán an muppet (not a mop and not quite a puppet) é ag an gcomhdháil.
A Nílis,
Greann, dár ndóigh a bhí thuas, ach bhí mé ag súl le tuaurisc ar an gcruinniú!
