Australia's attempt to share credit for bringing peace to Gaza after recognising a 'State of Palestine' and making repeated calls for an under-siege Israel to restrain itself is beyond risible, says Prof James Allan.

This Lioness, this Woman For All Seasons has to be lionized !

Galway's Town Hall Theatre, 6PM, Monday Jan 30th.

Margaretta, the "quintessence of the unmaneagable revolutionary" (Donal O' Kelly, writing recently in Village magazine) is to launch her new book 'Loose Theatre : memoirs of a guerrilla theatre activist' at the above venue.
Margaretta, manning, as it were, the 'Justice for the Rossport Five' campaign table outside Lynch's Castle, Shop St. Galway, last September.
Margaretta, manning, as it were, the 'Justice for the Rossport Five' campaign table outside Lynch's Castle, Shop St. Galway, last September.

Margaretta is a vetern of the Greenham/Crookham Common and Shannon Warport peace camps and is a much admired, inspiring activist with the recent 'Justice for the Rossport Five' & the extant anti-war, 'US Troops out of Shannon' campaigns.

Through a "nimble collection of loose memories," a "ragbag of diary excerpts, letters, cuttings from newspapers and photographs, she enlightens the reader of her turbulent and principled history : her "courtship of a Yorkshire virgin, the then unknown playwright, John Arden" and more seriously, of the tragedy of their firstborn son, their bankruptcy, libel actions, jail, and professional isolation due to the war in the North of Ireland and the censorship and disinformation it brought with it".

Please be there, this redoubable ikonic woman has to be lionized or at least borne witness to?.
