All around the world airports are being built and enlarged in countries which appear to realise the 'climate crisis' is just a load of nonsense. But not in poor, gullible Britain.

The local election results are as terrible for the Conservatives as feared and thanks to Reform they would have been lucky to have had only a 1997-style wipeout, says veteran pollster John Curtice.

HIV discoverer Luc Montagnier deduced from the 'HIV inserts' in the SARS-CoV-2 genome that it was engineered. But he didn't think it could be a 'bioweapon': it just wasn't dangerous enough.

Gaelscoil gets green light in Westport

category mayo | miscellaneous | press release author Monday January 16, 2006 01:30author by Keith Martin - Westport Town Councillorauthor email newseditor at ireland dot com Report this post to the editors

School Building gets funding and go ahead.

Cead Mile Failte for Gaelscoil

Cllr Keith Martin, chairman of the Pairc Na Coille Residents Association and a member of the Golf Course Road Community Building Committee has issued a ‘Cead Mile Failte’ to Gaelscoile Na Cruaiche following a green light to build the new school from the Dept of Education. The new school will be constructed on a 2.5 acre site which Westport Town Council voted to sell last year to the Office of Public Works to accommodate the school. On Friday the Dept of Education gave the go-ahead to begin architectural planning for building the school.

Cllr Martin said “When the children and parents of the school handed in their petition to the council I gave an undertaking to them to assist Gaelscoil Na Cruiche in finding a permanent home. I didn't think it would happen so quickly or so close to home; but I am delighted on both counts. As a resident of the area I look forward to working with the school to develop our shared community. This development was much needed and it is now much welcomed” he added.
Cllr Martin says the school will be built in conjunction with a new park for the Golf Course Road. “It is important to highlight the massive difference that two playgrounds, walkways, a playing pitch, the use of basketball and volleyball courts and a green area will mean to the area. Having a first class school in the area is also a huge benefit. These new facilities will establish the Golf Course Road as the high standard for other areas and other local authorities to aspire to” he concluded
