Meath on Track's first public meeting was held tonight in the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan.

Meath on Track's first public meeting was held tonight in the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan.

The meeting featured presentations from Platform 11, North South Rail Initiative as well as being chaired by Michael Reade of LMFM.

Participating in the Q&A session were Damian English (Fine Gael), Joe Reilly (Sinn Féin), Tommy Reilly (Fianna Fáil), Dominic Hannigan (labour) & Fergal O'Byrne (Green Party).

Dont want to sound like a smart arse (genuinely), but any chance you could give us a quick rundown on what happened at the meeting, what was said, attendance, etc? This doesnt tell us much at all.

This pictured appeared on posters around Meath on the evening of the transport 21 proposals.

Whilst the announcement is welcome, it must be remembered that it took less than 3 years to open the line in the first place using picks and shovels.

Please relay the track sooner than 2015, Minister.
