Iraq War Has Been Utterly Vindicated.

category international | anti-war / imperialism | opinion/analysis author Monday October 17, 2005 15:40author by Jim Report this post to the editors

Iraq Constitution Is A Great Victory Over Terror

Yesterday the people of Iraq - Shia, Sunni and Kurd alike - voted overwhelmingly in support of the new Iraq Charter defying political extremists of the Ba'athists and Islamic fundementalist terrorists.

This historic victory for democracy and freedom in the Middle East could not have happened only for the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the defeat of Saddam Hussein.

Despite the arrogance of Al-Qeada, the defeatism of John Kerry, the stupidity of Michael Moore, the hysteria of the Anti-War Movement and the utter cowardice and hand wringing of the French, Germans, Kofi-Annan, Hans Blix and the craven useless organisation of that is the United Nations - Iraq is now a free democratic government.

The historical importance of this moment cannot be stressed.
Today another seed of democracy has taken root in the heart of the Middle East. The tide of freedom can only inevitably spread to the peoples of Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya and to the greater Islamic world.

In the words of Martin Luther King:
"LET FREEDOM REIGN!"
