the reaction from the right wing suspects is nothing new. Harney doing a song and dance, followed by Liz Mc Manus and Green Party TD from Cork.
one heard of the miracles in Medigore well one better the annoucement that appeared on the six o clock news on Friday
In an interview with radio melodía Uribe has said he is seeking their extradition, 'extradition today is a feature which I call natural in international relations, when international relations are normal such a feature may be applied without applying an treaty, the government can not be negligent, or be po-faced, we are working prudently with the [colombian] ministeries of justice and the prosecutor's office to bring this process before the Irish".
The story is being covered on Colombia indymedia e.g. and other indymedia collectives in the region. We are watching it closely.

I'm delighted that yiz are back. Ignore Harney and similar creatures.
Bertie, do not even dream of sending them back. No rational person would want anyone handed over to the likes of the terrorist regime in Colombia.
Furthermore, no reasonable person would accept the guilty verdict, the "justice system" in Colombia is a bad joke (even by our standards) so jailing them here is not an option.
*Uribe has offered a meeting to FARC and the place has been chosen, up the mountains and out of the way. there discussions will be held and prisoners swapped.
*the suggestion of imprisoning the irish men in ireland made by Harney has been widely reported in south america as an irish government statement though it is laughably non-legal, and the changes to the law to make it possible would set a precedent which would be too "liberal" for the PDs to think it worthwhile, are they to pave the way for trans-national prisoner transfers? doubt it. So then are we to see double jepordy style another trial? Would that not be prejudiced by the media statements? Do Irish courts recognise the convictions as safe?
At end, you see behind the smokescreens that Harney and Co. have effectively guaranteed the return of the 3 men. And the colombians themselves aren't that upset about it.
