We had effective protests in Donegal during the Ogoni struggle against Shell. I remember with great pride our protest on the Shell-Sponsored Donegal Safari which we held in Buncrana as the rally cars set out from their overnight stop. All Shell Sponsorship in Ireland should be stopped. It is very silent and hidden Let us challenge it.
We had help from the Derry/ Foyle Group when we had our annual Ken Saro-Wiwa Seminar in Derry City.
There is plenty of activity to be explored in the oil sector active off Donegal.
The key word now is SOLIDARITY!
We have to examine the phenomenon of BACKDATING LAW so relevant to this situation. Who Is responsible for the deposit of flawed law upon which the judge has to work and our people suffer?
