Urgent support needed for balatacamp.net

balatacamp.net is trying to undergo a dramatic online change, as we attempt to transform it into a true community website run by residents of the camp

A two week period with no Israeli invasions into Balata Camp ended Tuesday
night, when 30 armoured jeeps forced their way into the camp. Doors were
blown in and houses searched as the Israeli soldiers asserted their
dominance. Wednesday and Thursday nights were similar, with hours of
gunfire between the resistance with their misfiring Kalashnikovs and
well-armed soldiers with nightvision and jeeps on every street. Israeli
helicopters hovered overhead as soldiers occupied houses; by the morning
three Palestinians were injured and eight arrested.

SERVER HELP NEEDED URGENTLY:

balatacamp.net is trying to undergo a dramatic online change, as we
attempt to transform it into a true community website run by residents of
the camp. Our problem is that our current server has neither MySQL nor
php installed, which are necessary for any content management system.
None of the people working on the projects here has the knowledge to
install these, or the time to acquire that knowledge.

With most of the internationals leaving Balata in the near future, we'd
like to have the new site set up before they leave. So we're in desperate
need of either:
* somebody with a few hours spare who has some knowledge with installing
MySQL and PHP. The server is OpenBSD.
or
* access to a different server for the new website, that already has MySQL
and PHP installed.

if anybody has the knowledge or means to help, that would be wonderful.

The balatacamp.net collective is having a little bit of a crisis. One of their core workers, Kelly, was snatched by the Israeli military during an anti-Wall demonstration near Ramallah last Tuesday. She has since been interrogated, stripsearched and detained in various Israeli prisons. She will almost certainly be deported to the US at some point in the future, until then she'll be held in detention.

Of course none of this Israeli fascism ever makes the evening news.
The Israelis are well armed by the U.S. imperialists, so they can maintain control over the Arab populations, and keep them fom reclaiming their homeland, as they keep stealing more land with the aparthied wall.

I hope you can get your servers set up. The palestinian people need a great deal of support at this time.

It is the zionist philosophy, which believes the Palestinian people need to lose all hope, so they can be ethnically cleansed from their lands.

The Israeli invasions into the camps are part of the Zionist ethnic cleansing procedures that are meant to intimidate, terrorize and demoralize the Palestinians to the point where they feel there is no hope.

I am glad to hear that there are organizations that are giving support to the Palestinian people.

The corrupt rulers of the other nearby Arab nations such as Jordan, and Egypt, are only looking out for their own interests, and these ruling classes are afraid of revolution in their own countries, so they look for ways to keep the people of their own countries from rising up against them, and the imperialist nations like the U.S. Britian, and other European nations also back these rulers for their own interests.
That is why the Palestinian people, as well as other Arab peoples cannot rely on these corrupt power brokers for real justice.
They must organize themselves into a real revolutionary movement that can overthrow these bastards. Of course the U.S., Israel , and the other imperialist nations would not want this to happen because it would put an end to their domination in that part of the world.

Let us know of further news because the media will never show the true face of the Zionist occupation in Palestine.
