Ireland in 2005, out now, is the annual magazine of Metro Eireann, Ireland's only multicultural newspaper. Offering an unrivalled insight into the issues affecting multicultural Ireland, Ireland in 2005 is filled with top feature stories from some of Ireland's best immigrant and native journalists

* Kevin Myers writes about how intellectual intimidation is putting the immigration debate into the hands of neo-Nazis, racial bigots and anti-immigrant halfwits

* Ireland assistant soccer manager Chris Hughton talks exclusively to us
about his career in football, the racism that blights the game and Ireland's World Cup qualification hopes

* Portlaoise town councillor, Nigerian Rotimi Adebari takes a breather from his busy schedule and gives us an insight into life as a local politician

* Forget speed-dating: a Dublin-based immigrant couple found love at bell-ringing practice in the belfry of Christ Church cathedral

* We visit Samba Town, aka Gort in County Galway, where one in four of the town's population is Brazilian

* The GAA Goes Global -immigrants in Ireland are taking up Gaelic football and hurling, but should the GAA be doing more to actively recruit 'the New Irish?'

* 'My Deported Friend' - a young Dublin girl remembers the good times with her best friend, who was deported last year

PLUS: Comedian Des Bishop and Artist Kevin Sharkey

Chinedu has a wicked sense of humour, having Kevin Myers writing on those subjects. Myers is one of the most prominent bigots in this country.
I sincerely hope that Myers is not being paid any more than the other more regular contributors to Metro just because he is a "big name".
